Besides being 28 gallons in size and having the traditional Nano Cube panoramic curved-glass aquarium glass, the JBJ Nano Cube HQI also comes with several advanced features such as a powerful and efficient metal halide lighting system, a highly optimized filtration and skimming system, and much more.
Under the hood you'll find a 150 watt 14000°K HQI metal halide lighting system with integrated cooling fans. This lighting is more than strong enough to support light-hungry corals such as SPS and LPS, photosynthetic clams, and anemones. Also integrated is a Nite-Vu nocturnal LED lighting system with a separate power cord so you can view your aquarium at night in tranquil moonlight and encourage nocturnal moonlight behavior such as spawning.
The Nano Cube HQI's innovative filtration system makes it easy to keep your aquarium clean and crystal clear. An integrated 3-stage filtration system with removable media basket provides the three necessary types of filtration necessary for a healthy aquarium--mechanical, chemical, and biological. Also included is a counter-current protein skimmer with air pump, so dissolved organic materials and wastes are removed quickly and efficiently.
And, two 266 gph Accela powerheads, powered by the included alternating wavemaker, provide a total of 532 gallons per hour water circulation so your aquarium's water is directed where it needs to be most. With the alternating wavemaker you can create simulated oceanic currents right in your aquarium.
